A small collage of pre-release screen shots from Bungie Software's then-upcoming 3D action game Marathon, gathered from America Online and submitted to Info-Mac in September 1994 by Stephen Jonke (jonke@gsfc.nasa.gov). The package preserves a snapshot of how Marathon was being previewed to Mac users months before its 1994 release.ContentsThe archive expands to a StuffIt file named Marathon_ScreenShots_Folder.sit containing image files of in-engine views of Bungie's first-person shooter. The shots capture early environments and HUD elements as they appeared during the game's pre-launch promotion.OriginJonke notes the images were pulled from America Online, where Bungie and enthusiasts circulated promotional material in the months leading up to Marathon's debut on the Macintosh.
