About

Blood Bath Patch is the version 1.92 updater for owners of UnderWorld Software's Blood Bath at Red Falls, supporting both the PowerPC and 68k builds of the CD release. Issued by Roger Kemper of UnderWorld Software, it fixes a bug that prevented the Options menu screen from displaying and adds automatic switching of the monitor color depth. What it fixesThe 1.92 patch addresses a defect that kept the in-game Options menu from appearing on screen, restoring access to player-configurable settings. It also introduces automatic adjustment of the monitor color depth so that the game can switch the display into the mode it expects without manual intervention from the user.RequirementsThe patch is intended for the CD edition of Blood Bath at Red Falls running on a Power Macintosh with at least 3.5 MB of free RAM. It is not a standalone game and will not install or run without an existing copy of Blood Bath present on the system.InstallationThe download contains a Read Me file with the installation steps, which involve applying the updater against the existing Blood Bath folder on disk. The release was distributed via Info-Mac as blood-bath-patch-192.hqx and posted from UndrWrld@aol.com.PublisherUnderWorld Software, reachable in the patch notes through their web page at uwgames.com, was a small Mac-focused shareware publisher of the mid 1990s. Blood Bath at Red Falls was one of their CD-ROM action titles and continued to receive incremental patches like this one through the 1.x series.
