Maniac Patch 1.0 is a small user-made patch for the Macintosh game Maniac version 2.1 — Alex Metcalf's 1994 puzzle-arcade hybrid that mixes Pac-Man-style maze chases with Hangman-style letter guessing. Despite the suggestive name, this patch has nothing to do with LucasArts' Maniac Mansion; it simply replaces the in-game sound effects of Metcalf's Maniac.What It DoesThe patch swaps out the original sound effects in Maniac 2.1 for an alternative set, leaving the gameplay, levels, and graphics untouched.
