About

PokerOne is a compact Macintosh poker game by Yasuhiro Kaizu (seaport@sag.bekkoame.ne.jp), distributed through the Info-Mac archive. The author describes it as a poker game "arranged by me to be played easily and speedily," emphasising fast solo play against the computer rather than a feature-heavy casino simulation.Modes of playPokerOne offers three play modes: two players, three players, and four players, all against computer opponents. The author's stated goal is that a single user can "enjoy poker by yourself in various ways" by varying the table size rather than the rules.System requirementsPer the bundled documentation, PokerOne needs a 68030, 68040, or PowerPC Macintosh running System 7.1 or later. A 68040 or later is recommended; on PowerPC machines the program runs under 68k emulation. It also requires a 9-inch or larger monitor, about 600 KB of free RAM, and 220 KB of free disc space.DistributionPokerOne is shareware, posted to Info-Mac as poker-one.hqx. No external Macintosh Garden listing was located for this exact title at fetch time, so the description here draws solely on the author's BinHex header documentation.
