Montana is a Macintosh implementation of the classic solitaire patience of the same name, distributed as part of the GAMER collection by Ken Hancock. Like the traditional version, the layout is a four-by-thirteen grid of cards in which the aces are removed and the player tries to reorder each row by suit.SourceSubmitted to the Info-Mac archive by Ken Hancock (kenh@world.std.com) under the subject line "Montana 2.1" and described simply as "A solitare card game."GAMER distributionThe Info-Mac header notes that Montana is part of the GAMER distribution, a shared framework that bundled several small Macintosh card and parlor games into a common package.VersionThe archived release is version 2.1, distributed in BinHex 4.0 form for classic Mac OS.
