AboutQMidi is the ultimate MIDI/Karaoke player for the Macintosh. It can play all kinds of MIDI files, no matter where they came from, in any order, using either OS X Core Audio Music device, OS X Core MIDI, QuickTime musical instruments, Opcode OMS, MOTU FreeMIDI system, or serial port interface. QMidi also incorporates a MIDI mixer + GS effects. If QuickTime 3.0 or newer is installed, QMidi also plays all QuickTime audio and video media files, including MP3/AAC! * Supports Midi/Karaoke format 0 and 1, AIFF/AIFC, MP3 (QT 4.1), AAC (QT 6), Sound Designer II, uLaw (AU), WAV, AVI, DV, Motion JPEG, MPEG. * External text display/edit/synchronization/merge. * Pitch transpose, Chord transpose. * Unlimited number of play lists. * Up to 16000 files per play List. * Start from first note. * Chase events. * Chain play, loop, repeat all. * MIDI mixer, GS effects. * Works with QuickTime 2.5 or newer (not required for external MIDI playback). * Classic version supports OMS, FreeMIDI and serial port output. * Carbon version supports OS X MIDI system and Music Devices. * Full Drag & Drop support. The Classic version of QMidi runs on any PPC Macintosh running System 7.5 through Mac OS 9.2.2. The Carbon version requires OS X 10.2.8 or later. QMidi is is a shareware product. This means, you may copy it freely and try it out thoroughly. As soon as you decide to use the program, you are requested to send a modest amount of money.
