Holmes Search Central 1.0 November 4,1998 What is it? In the spirit of Sherlock on MacOS 8.5, Holmes is an internet search utility for the rest of us. It provides one central location to query numerous internet search engines. The software is quick, compact, and PPC native. What are its requirements? Holmes will run on a Mac II or higher under System 7 or higher. It runs in 1 MB of ram. Holmes requires a web browser (not included) to do its work. It also requires Internet Config to be installed and configured. Internet Config 2.0 is included in this distribution package. How does it work? Operation of Holmes is simple. Enter some text to search for, select your search engine, and hit the Search button. If the text you enter is an internet url, just hit the URL button.
