Essentially, it makes it so that you can have one machine be, say, www.cajunmonk.ml.org, mhp.cajunmonk.ml.org, etc, and give a different response for each. It really isn't half as complicated as it sounds, and takes about 5 minutes to set up. This replaces all versions of MultipleHostPresenz, as I opted for a new name (I think you can see why).
