This is the Demo for Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness on Macintosh. The Full Release will be sometime in Late Summer 1996. Warcraft II requires a 256-color Macintosh with 5800K free memory and System 7.5 or greater; 68040 or PowerPC. Warcraft II is totally native on the PowerMac. This demo offers: 3 levels of play as both Orc and Human and 2 player games via Modem or network. Warcraft II is currently the best selling game in the world for 1996 on the PC, and Blizzard Entertainment is glad to bring the Warcraft II experience to the Macintosh. Highlights: - Greater numbers of units and buildings that now span land, sea and air - The Fog of War map masking - Three resources types: Gold, Lumber, and Oil - More freeform building of towns - A variety of map sizes, the largest being four times bigger than Warcraft I - Scenario editor (included in retail version only) allows you to design and create your own scenarios - Sound effects editor (included in retail version only) lets you modify sounds from the game - And many more features , all included in the Read Me Blizzard has a web page, http://www.blizzard.com, with info on Warcraft, Warcraft II, and other Blizzard games.
