Hunter Deer is a light-hearted point-and-click shooting game from 1995 by Brian Kelley that flips the traditional hunting genre on its head. Cast as a vengeful deer whose friends and family have been picked off by hunters, the player turns the gun the other way for a brisk round of cathartic woodland payback.Role ReversalWhere titles like Deer Hunter put the player behind a scope stalking wildlife, Hunter Deer makes the deer the protagonist and the camouflaged humans the targets. The premise is short and punchy rather than satirical in any heavy-handed way, leaning into the absurdity of the swap.Point-and-Click ActionGameplay is straightforward arcade shooting: scenes appear, hunters pop up among the trees, and the player clicks to take them out before they fire back.
