MacTrek is a 1987 Star Trek strategy game for the Macintosh by Travis Butler. It belongs to the long lineage of text-and-grid Star Trek games that started on mainframes in the early 1970s, recast here for the early Mac with a windowed interface for tactical starship navigation and combat against Klingon adversaries.GameplayPlayers command a Federation starship, scanning sectors of the galaxy, plotting warp and impulse moves, and engaging Klingon vessels.
