About

Romi is a Rummy card game by Gerard Brochu of Universite Laval that pits a single human player against the computer at three difficulty levels. Built to run on virtually any Macintosh from System 6.0.4 onward, it shipped in English, French and Italian editions and became a long-lived staple of the Info-Mac card game collection.GameplayA Rummy simulation played with two standard 52-card decks plus two wildcards. Players form melds of three or more consecutive same-suit cards or matching values across suits, racing the AI opponent to empty their hand.CompatibilityRuns on any Macintosh with System 6.0.4 or higher (version 1.7.1). Later 2.0 release requires System 7. Native 68k binary, modest memory footprint.LocalizationAvailable in three parallel language builds: English (romi-171.hqx), French (romi-171-fr.hqx) and Italian (romi-171-it.hqx), all distributed through Info-Mac's game directory.AuthorWritten by Gerard Brochu, Division des services et du developpement, Service de l'informatique et des telecommunications, Universite Laval, Quebec, Canada.
