Ether Contention is Abe Daun's 1997 Macintosh shareware dogfighter, a full-color overhead arena shooter from Abedaun Software. The player flies a single fighter in a top-down sky, hunting enemy planes; clearing five kills clears the level and ratchets up the swarm in the next round of the arcade-style campaign.Gameplay loopThe action is direct and uncluttered: rotate, throttle, and fire on weaving enemy aircraft from a fixed bird's-eye view.
